The Importance of Tummy Time


"Necessity is the mother of invention" has never been truer than with
Chelsea Manke who created a toy to encourage her daughter to get more
tummy time.

Combining her talents, Chelsea found her niche.

Now, after research and development, her product is available on
Amazon and in The Nines Kids store in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Tummy time is a great exercise for infants with torticollis and
those without.

Meet Wendy

Meet Wendy -  Wendy Kaplan-Lager is a Pediatric Physical Therapist with over 30+ years of experience treating infants and children. She graduated from Ithaca College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Wendy received her certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) in Pediatrics in 1988. Her specialty areas are in evaluating and treating infants and children with Prematurity, Torticollis, Hypotonia, Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, Coord ination Disorders, Orthopedic and Neurologic Impairments and Genetic Disorders. Wendy has worked in hospital settings, neonatal intensive care units, early intervention programs, pre-school and school-aged special education settings, homecare and private practice. As a professional who enjoys teaching, Wendy also provides workshops and in-service trainings to medical professionals, parents and teachers.
