Play is the Doctor’s Orders

More Play, Less Work

Kids these days are very busy with school, after school, sports, music lessons and more.
Let’s not forget what’s important when it comes to our children.

Play time needs to be scheduled in. The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests that
our children will do better with scheduled blocks of play time and that the pediatricians
should be prescribing it.

Play is just as important as eating, sleeping and well visits at the pediatrician.
It’s all about balance. Even adults need play time.
Play helps children develop language and executive functioning skills
Play offers many benefits to the wellbeing of children.  Playing outdoors is even better.
Let’s get our kids outside to play!
