Dance Therapy 4 Kids


It’s always nice to learn what kinds of physical therapy for kids is
offered in other parts of the country. This studio is in Ohio.


Gem City Ballet offers an inventive way for children with physical
challenges to develop their motor skills with dance and stretching.


This Ohio dance studio is helping children with their program called
"DancingUnlimited" with a focus on music and movement.


This program that began in 1998 is comprised of 21 young dancers
ranging in ages 12-18 who take turns running the class which is
supervised by a physical therapist.


Some of the kids are in wheelchairs, some with walkers or
crutches. The children's dance movements are based on their
abilities.


Just like dance, Physical Therapy 4 Kids will also help your
child with motor skills, balance, stretching and more.

Meet Wendy

Meet Wendy -  Wendy Kaplan-Lager is a Pediatric Physical Therapist with over 30+ years of experience treating infants and children. She graduated from Ithaca College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Wendy received her certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) in Pediatrics in 1988. Her specialty areas are in evaluating and treating infants and children with Prematurity, Torticollis, Hypotonia, Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, Coord ination Disorders, Orthopedic and Neurologic Impairments and Genetic Disorders. Wendy has worked in hospital settings, neonatal intensive care units, early intervention programs, pre-school and school-aged special education settings, homecare and private practice. As a professional who enjoys teaching, Wendy also provides workshops and in-service trainings to medical professionals, parents and teachers.
